Hog Molly is:
Tad Doyle - vocals/guitars
Marty Chandler - guitars
Tyson Garcia - bass
Jason - drums
Rock 'n' roll was never intended to be performed by wimps. The real thing is played by real people who squeeze and wring every last sweaty, greasy, electrifying, brain-blasting note out of their voice boxes, guitars and drums. Hog Molly is one such band, and thank God for that!
Seattle-based Hog Molly, which formed in 1999, is led by a local legend, vocalist/guitarist Tad "Tadarth Tadillac Seville" Doyle. Hog Molly also includes Tyson "Satan" Garcia (formerly of Willard and Ditch Witch) on bass, Marty Chandler (formerly of Panic) on guitar and Jason "Slimmy D Diabolis" (formerly of Monster Truck Driver) on drums.
Hog Molly - which is angler slang for a specific fish found along North American coasts - formed two years ago. Doyle played some guitar riffs for Garcia over a cell phone, and Garcia was intrigued enough to meet with Doyle for a jam session. "Slimmy" came in on drums and Hog Molly was off and running. Chandler is a recent addition to the band, but the members quickly discovered they were firing on all cylinders as a cohesive unit.
Doyle is a local legend in the Pacific Northwest. He's a genuine pioneer of the city's signature "grunge" movement. His band Tad was signed to the Sub Pop label in 1989 and went on to release its first major-label album, Inhaler, on Giant/Warner Bros. in 1993. He's worked with the likes of Butch Vig (who produced Nirvana's Nevermind and is a member of Garbage), Steve Albini (who's produced Nirvana, Bush, Man or Astroman? and PJ Harvey, among others) and J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr, who helmed Inhaler.
PRESS
Hog Molly does not cater to trends, modern Rock tendencies, Rap-Core or instrumental innovations of any sort-it's just full bore, foot to the floor-or through the floor as the case may be-low riding heavy Riff rocking with a doom-ish slant that's quickly thrust upon you and before you."

"Just when you thought it was safe for pop music Tad Doyle returns to the scene to knock some sense into the music buying public. Those familiar with Tad's former band, aptly named Tad will rejoice at this new offering, Hog Molly. Its every bit as offensive as "God's Balls" and "Inhaler" except where Tad harkened back to the hard rock and metal sounds of the late 70's (often being called the heaviest band from the Seattle scene at the height of "grunge"), Doyle's new group Hog Molly is cut more from the mold of Motorhead meets modern metal."
